SASSA SRD R370 Payment Dates for August 2026: 27–31 August

SRD R370 payments for August 2026 are scheduled for the last four working days of the month — Thursday 27 August to Monday 31 August 2026. Because 30 August falls on a Sunday, the window carries over to Monday 31 August. SASSA staggers payments across the window, so your specific pay date is shown on your status result.
To see your date, do a status check on the official portal at srd.sassa.gov.za using your 13-digit ID number and the phone number from your application. If your status shows Approved with a payment date, allow 2–3 working days after that date for the money to reflect in your bank account.
The SRD R370 grant is funded through to 31 March 2027, so approved beneficiaries do not need to reapply — payments continue automatically as long as you still pass the monthly means test. SASSA re-checks your income against bank, SARS, UIF and NSFAS records every month, which is why a status can change from Approved to Declined without warning.
If your status shows Declined for a recent month, you have 30 days from the decline date to lodge an appeal with the Independent Tribunal (ITSAA). If it shows Bank Details Pending, submit your banking details on the official portal so your payment is not delayed.
Reminder: never enter your ID number on unofficial "status check" links shared in WhatsApp groups. The only official portal is srd.sassa.gov.za.
